K.T. Murphy is a neighborhood school that was established in 1900. It is located in the heart of the Cove Beach neighborhood of Stamford.  In our 118 year history, generations of families have sent their children to school here and many have actually come back to work here! We are a Responsive Classroom School that believes the social curriculum is just as important as the academic curriculum.  Our goal is to educate the whole child by teaching them CARES - Cooperation, Assertion, Responsibility, Empathy and Self-Control.
