Dear K.T. Murphy Families,

Welcome back to the  2023 – 2024 school year! I hope you all have had a relaxing and fun summer break. I am proud and honored to serve as the new Principal of KT Murphy!  I would like to welcome all new students, families and staff as well as those returning.  We are excited to welcome you and share what makes KT Murphy such a special place to be.

 Our teachers and staff are eager to meet their new students. The administration and office staff worked diligently to finalize classes and schedules with all of our students' needs in mind.  Please make sure to check the PowerSchool Parent Portal for your child’s classroom teacher assignment at 4:00 P.M. on 8/25.  Grade level classroom supplies can be found on our website.  

 With each new school year comes an opportunity for growth and learning for all.  The beginning of the school year is always such an exciting time.  We welcome your involvement in our school community.  Please consider becoming involved in our community by joining our PTO, volunteering in a classroom, helping with school events, or becoming a member of our School Governance Council (SGC) or Action Team for Partnerships (ATP). 

 As we work in school to help each and every student meet their full potential we will look to our families to be positive partners in their children’s educational journey.  In order for our school team to provide opportunities for our students to be successful we need to have all students in school every day from the start of the school day until the very end.  Please help us by keeping absences to a minimum as well as helping your child to be in school on time every day for the entirety of the day.  Students may begin being dropped off at 8:45.  Dismissal begins at 3:25.  Individual student late arrivals and early dismissals are not only disruptive to your own child’s educational program, but to the classroom as a whole.  We thank you in advance for working collaboratively with us to support our mission of ensuring each and every student meets grade level expectations.
